Playwrights Horizons has announced casting and opening dates for the first two productions of its 2009-10 season Off Broadway.

Recent Juilliard grad Adam Driver, Margarita Levieva ("Impressionism"), Cristin Milioti ("Stunning") and Adam Rothenberg ("Danny and the Deep Blue Sea") head the cast of Daniel Goldfarb's "The Retributionists," a romantic thriller about a band of young Jewish freedom fighters in 1946. Leigh Silverman directs the production, starting previews Aug. 21 for a Sept. 15 opening.

Tracee Chimo and Heidi Schreck complete the cast of Annie Baker's "Circle Mirror Transformation." Sam Gold directs the comedy about four New Englanders who meet in a community center drama class, previewing from Sept. 24 for an Oct. 13 opening.

Goldfarb had an Off Broadway hit in 2004 with "Modern Orthodox"; Baker's first major New York production was the well-received "Body Awareness" at Atlantic Stage 2 last year.
