Peacock has given a script order, with a significant penalty attached, to "Nathan vs. Nature," to be written and exec produced by Guarascio and Port.
Sony Pictures TV, where Guarascio and Port have an overall deal, is producing.
"Nathan vs. Nature" revolves around Griffin Jennings, a successful 35-year-old heart surgeon, who decides to search for his biological parents. Griffin discovers that, after giving him up for adoption, his parents had three more kids and kept them.
Griffin -- who finds out he was originally named Nathan, after his grandfather -- at first clashes with his new siblings, who have grown up to be less-than-impressive adults. But he eventually learns that he may have more in common with his slacker siblings than it seems.
Guarascio and Port most recently exec produced a comedy pilot this spring from scribe Justin Adler through Sony and Tantamount for NBC.
The duo were also exec producers on the CW's "Aliens in America" and NBC's "Happy Family."
