Show will bow Aug. 2 at 9 p.m. with a two-hour premiere; after that, "Gravity" will air at 10 p.m. Sundays until the start of the fall TV season.
Alphabet net recently acquired "Gravity," a co-production of Fox TV Studios, Canada's CTV and Germany's ProSieben that is one of several international co-prods to hit the network airwaves this summer.
"Gravity" revolves around eight astronauts from five countries -- four women and four men -- who are in the middle of a mysterious six-year mission.
James Parriott is behind the show, which was inspired by the BBC docudrama "Space Odyssey: Voyage to the Planets." Ron Livingston stars along with Laura Harris, Malik Yoba and Paula Garces.
In other scheduling news, NBC has shuffled reality series "The Great American Road Trip" after just one week.
"Road Trip" will air Mondays at 8 p.m. starting next week. Show hit a quick bump on the Nielsen highway in its Tuesday debut, averaging just a 1.3 rating/5 share.
That was down dramatically from an "America's Got Talent" repeat that aired the previous week in that slot. As a result, NBC will bring back "Talent" repeats to Tuesdays at 8 p.m., leading into new episodes at 9.
"Road Trip," meanwhile, moves to a slot that had most recently been filled by "Law and Order" repeats.
And at Fox, net has pushed back the season premiere of "Dollhouse" by a week.
Season two of "Dollhouse" will launch Sept. 25. Fox will run a repeat of the "Glee" series premiere on Sept. 18 instead.
"Dollhouse" creator Joss Whedon is on tap to write and direct the show's season premiere.
