Metrodome, Palisades agree deal

Distributor will handle U.K. TV, VOD library

LONDON -- Metrodome Distribution has inked an exclusive deal with Palisades Tartan to represent the company's TV and VOD library in the U.K.

Deal also gives Metrodome theatrical rights to Korean helmer Park Can Wook's "Thirst," which shared the Cannes Jury Prize with Brit helmer Andrea Arnold's "Fish Tank."

"Thirst" tells the story of a priest who turns into a vampire after a medical experiment goes wrong.

Palisades Pictures acquired the majority of Tartan Films U.K.'s film library assets in July 2008 after the company, founded by Hamish McAlpine in 1984, went into administration.
