Sundance adds $1.5 million grant

Cinereach to fund projects, establish fellowship

A three-year, $1.5 million grant dubbed the Cinereach Project at Sundance Institute will provide funding to projects from the Sundance Institute with themes that evoke global cultural exchange and social impact.

The grant will be a discretionary fund used toward financing a minimum of 12 films from the feature and doc programs at the Sundance Institute.

The project will also establish a fellowship for emerging directors working with themes of global cultural exchange and social impact.

The collaboration will help Cinereach and Sundance continue to support the storytellers integral to both organizations' missions. Cinereach was created in 2006 and has awarded more than $2 million in grants and awards.
