Page Hurwitz and Javier Winnik, whose credits include "Last Comic Standing," are behind the show, which comes from Keep Calm Prods. Casting is under way.
A cross between "Last Comic Standing" and "The Amazing Race," "Fast and Funniest" will follow the standup performers as they travel around the U.S., completing tasks and performing along the way. The first three comics to make it to the final city will compete in a comedy faceoff for a cash prize.
Hurwitz and Winnik will exec produce. Their credits include TBS pilot "The Comedy Roadshow." Winnik also worked on "The Singing Bee," "Dog Eat Dog" and "Treasure Hunters."
