By ED MEZA

BERLIN -- The Berlin Film Festival's World Cinema Fund has chosen projects for production financing.

Peruvian helmer Rosario Garcia-Montero's "The Bad Intentions," from Lima-based Garmont Films and Berlin's Barry Films, and "Post Mortem," from Chilean helmer Pablo Larrain and Santiago de Chile based shingle Fabula, both received $70,000.

Pablo Stoll's Uruguayan drama "'3' (Tres)," from Montevideo-based Controlz Films and Cologne's Pandora Film, nabbed $56,000 as did "Jean Gentil," a Dominican pic from director Laura Amelia Guzman, Santo Domingo-based Aurora Dominicana and Berlin's Baerbel Mauch Film.

The WCF partnered with Germany's Federal Foreign Office to give $35,367 to South African director Oliver Hermanus' "Shirley Adams," from Johannesburg's DV8 Films.

The WCF has an annual budget of nearly $700,000.
