Chace is a full-service audio post house that has been in business since 1981. Its services include preservation and restoration on classic studio titles.
The sound business will be remonickered Chase Audio by Deluxe. It becomes the first standalone sound company within the Deluxe family of companies.
"We put a big focus on lifecycle content management. Audio's half that story and we felt we were lacking in the ability to handle audio through the lifecycle," said Gray Ainsworth, DDM's senior VP of operations.
Chace management will remain in place and its 60 employees are expected to keep their jobs. Prexy Bob Heiber will become VP-audio for Deluxe Digital Media and report to Ainsworth.
Company will remain in its current digs at two locations in Burbank.
