'Ruined' extended for last time

Show to continue running until Sept. 6

Pulitzer Prize-winning play “Ruined” has extended for the last time, with the show now running at Manhattan Theater Club’s Off Broadway space through Sept. 6.

Lynn Nottage’s play about a tough businesswoman in the Congo has now been extended eight times since it opened in the spring and went on to become a kudos magnet during the awards season.

Show, a co-production with Chi’s Goodman Theater, will now run until the fall, at which point the venue, City Center Stage I, is needed for the incoming productions of the MTC fall season.

When “Ruined” shutters Sept. 6, it will have played more than 238 perfs and 22 previews.
