Kevin Anderson and Reg E. Cathey topline the show, a new play by Owen O’Neill and Dave Johns based on the Stephen King novella that also inspired the 1994 movie version of “Shawshank.”
Plot centers on the friendship two men develop over their time as inmates in a notoriously tough prison.
Peter Sheridan directs the production, with set and costume design by Ferdia Murphy, sound by Denis Clohessy and lights by Kevin Treacy.
Show begins perfs Sept. 4 ahead of a Sept. 13 opening at the Wyndham’s Theater in London. Tickets are on sale for perfs running through Feb. 14.
