CBS Films to 'Get a Job'

Shamberg and Sher set up comedy spec

CBS Films has picked up the comedy spec "Get a Job," by Kyle Pennekamp and Scott Turpel. Project is set up with Michael Shamberg and Stacey Sher at their Double Feature Films shingle.

Story centers on a college graduate and his friends who are compelled to lower life expectations when they leave campus for the real world.

Project is the second Sher and Shamberg have set up at CBS Films. They're in production on true-life medical drama "Crowley," directed by Tom Vaughan and starring Brendan Fraser, Harrison Ford and Keri Russell.

Pennekamp and Turpel have written "Wedding the Winterbottoms" for Media 8, "Duck for President" and "Summer School" for Par and "Secret Agent Men" for Universal.

They’re repped by CAA along with Shamberg and Sher.
