IFC unveils premiere slate
Lineup includes 'Hideous Men,' 'Lion's Den'

Among those: “The Office” thesp John Krasinski’s helming debut, “Brief Interviews with Hideous Men,” a feature adapted from the late David Foster Wallace’s short story collection; and Armando Iannucci’s political satire “In the Loop,” which stars James Gandolfini, Steve Coogan, and Tom Hollander.
For the month of July, pics include Pablo Trapero’s pic “Lion’s Den,” a feature about a pregnant woman (Trapero’s wife Martina Gusman) who gives birth to a son in prison; “Died Young, Stayed Pretty,” Eileen Yaghoobian’s graphic design docu, featuring the filmmaker in person; and “Loop,” with helmer Iannucci at some shows.
In August, the venue will screen “Art and Copy,” Doug Pray’s advertising docu, which tracks the “Mad Men”-like world of ad execs starting in the early 1960s, with Pray at select screenings. Also on the slate: “We Live in Public,” a docu following the exploits of web developer Josh Harris during the dotcom boom in the 1990s. Pic won the Grand Jury Prize at Sundance this year.
Unspooling in September, four more films round out the slate of premieres: Alexis Dos Santos’ London-set drama “Unmade Beds,” big oil docu “Crude,” Cedric Klapisch’s Juliette Binoche starrer “Paris,” and Krasinski’s “Interviews.”
