N sets date for 'Assistants'

Cable network greenlights 13 episodes

Nickelodeon's N Network has set July 10 as the launch date for new half-hour series "The Assistants."

Cabler greenlit 13 episodes in November 2007 but it has taken nearly two years to preem due to finding an appropriate spot on the schedule.

Laffer, about four assistants working for a high-powered producer in Hollywood, will air at 8:30 p.m. Fridays, following new episodes of "Degrassi: The Next Generation."

Skein is exec produced by the Tom Lynch Co., Will McRobb and Chris Viscardi.

N net is rebranding itself as TeenNick in the fall.
