'Runaways' finds its Lita Ford

Scout Taylor-Compton to play rocker in biopic

Scout Taylor-Compton (“Halloween”) has been cast in “The Runaways” alongside Kristen Stewart and Dakota Fanning. The pic is based on the true story of the all-girl punk band in the 1970s with Compton playing Lita Ford. The pic is being helmed and penned by Floria Sigismondi and has already begun lensing in Los Angeles.

The thesp can be seen next in “Halloween 2” where she will reprise her role as Laurie Strode. The pic is set to bow on Aug. 28.
