'World' doc on Fast Track

Pic wins HBO Documentary Films Fellowship

Co-directors Kelly Duane de la Vega and Katie Galloway of the docu "Better This World" won the second annual HBO Documentary Films Fellowship as a part of the Film Independent Fast Track program.

Nine other docus were also selected for Fast Track, the program that takes place during the Los Angeles Film Fest and provides independent filmmakers with special conferences with industry professionals to help progress their projects.

The annual New Talent Guide from Film Independent, the non-profit behind the Spirit Awards and the Los Angeles Film Fest, was set to be released on its website Sunday.
