OPENING FILM
"The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus": Helmer Terry Gilliam will be on hand for fantsy-adventure pic featuring Heath Ledger in his final role.

SCREENINGS
"The Open Road": World premiere. Directed by Michael Meredith (who wrote Wim Wenders' "Land of Plenty"); stars Jeff Bridges, Justin Timberlake.
"Moon": Sci-fi feature; directorial debut of Duncan Jones (who is David Bowie's son).
"Still Bill": Doc about singer Bill Withers, best known for "Ain't No Sunshine" and "Lean on Me."
"Teza": From Ethiopian filmmaker Haile Gerima.
"Vinyan": Helmed by Fabrice Du Welz; stars Emmanuelle Beart.
"The Maid": Helmed and written by Sebastian Silva.
"Akiresu to kame" (Achilles and the Tortoise): Helmed and written by Takeshi Kitano.

June 30 - Universal's 13th Street channel's Shocking Shorts Award; indie party at the Film Museum.
July 1 - Isar River raft trip with festival topper Andreas Stroehl; supporting German film award.
July 3 - Audi-backed CineMerit Award, ARRI-Zeiss prize and CineVision award.
July 4 - Bayern3 Award; final film screened at Mathauser 6; final party, with public invited.
