Shaquille O'Neal has partnered with Codeblack Entertainment to produce a series of "All-Star Comedy Jam" TV speshes featuring prominent African-American comics.
The first in the series, featuring Cedric the Entertainer, bowed Wednesday on Showtime. The second installment, hosted by D.L. Hughley, will be filmed later this month at the American Black Film Festival in Miami and is set to bow on Showtime in January.
The unspecified number of remaining specials will be shopped to Showtime and other outlets.
Codeblack Entertainment is an autonomous unit of L.A.-based Vivendi Entertainment. Codeblack CEO Jeff Clanagan exec produces the "All-Star Comedy Jam" series with O'Neal.
