Anchor Bay sails 'City Island'

'City Island' will go out through Anchor Bay later this year.

Anchor Bay has acquired distribution rights for North America, United Kingdom, Australia and New Zealand to ensemble comedy "City Island," starring Andy Garcia, Julianna Margulies, Steven Strait, Alan Arkin, Emily Mortimer, Ezra Miller, and Dominik Garcia-Lorido.

Anchor Bay will release the pic, which won the Heineken Audience Award at Tribeca, to domestic theaters later this year. The film, centered on family secrets and lies, is directed and written by Raymond De Felitta.

Project's a joint venture between Garcia's CineSon Prods., De Felitta's Medici Entertainment, Lauren Versel's and Maria Teresa Arida's Lucky Monkey Pictures, Zachary Matz's Filmsmith and Gremi Film Prods.

Producers are Garcia, De Felitta, Versel, and Zachary Matz while Maria Teresa Arida, Lucia Seabra, Milutin G. Gatsby, Michael Roban, Greg Hajdarowicz exec produce. The foreign sales company is U.K-based WestEnd Films.
