'Dance' duo set for 'Burn'

Chmerkovskiy, Smirnoff set for Broadway

Maksim Chmerkovskiy and Karina Smirnoff, a couple of pro hoofers from ABC’s “Dancing With the Stars,” will appear for three weeks in the upcoming Broadway run of dance showcase “Burn the Floor.”

The two dancers have stood out in the non-celeb “Dancing” lineup in part due to their personal relationship, with the pair engaged to be married.

Chmerkovskiy and Smirnoff will appear among the cast of about 20 for the first three weeks of the 12-week Gotham run of “Burn,” which begins previews July 25 ahead of an Aug. 2 opening at the Longacre Theater.
