Cabler has picked up reality competish "The Streets of America: The Search for America's Worst Driver."
Based on an international format that has sold to more than a dozen territories, show puts bad drivers through a series of challenges to find the worst of the bunch.
A. Smith and Co. is behind the show, along with Mentorn USA, which holds the rights to the format. A. Smith's Arthur Smith and Kent Weed will exec produce, along with Frank Sinton, Rick Tellis, David Leach and Dan Goldsack.
Show is set to air during the first quarter of 2010. "Streets of America" will take place in some of "America's most iconic driving cities."
"We know how entertaining it will be to watch as the contestants try to navigate through Los Angeles, the home to the country's busiest freeway interchange, or drive down San Francisco's Lombard Street," Smith said.
The original "Britain's Worst Driver" was a hit for U.K.'s Five channel and spawned several more "Britain's Worst ..." series. Local editions of the show have also been sold to Canada, Australia, Belgium, Holland and Sweden. The British edition also has been seen around the world.
A. Smith's credits include "Hell's Kitchen," "I Survived a Japanese Game Show" and the upcoming "Crash Course." Mentorn USA produced Bravo's "Work Out" as well as the upcoming "Chef Academy" and "Fast and Dangerous."
