Malick will star in Noah Haidle’s two-hander “What Is the Cause of Thunder?” with Betty Gilpin, while Sparks appears opposite Nate Corddry in a new production of Sam Shepard’s “True West.”
John Rubinstein, meanwhile, rounds out the cast of Dylan Baker’s adaptation of George Kelly’s backstage comedy “The Torch-Bearers,” joining an ensemble that includes Marian Seldes, Dana Ivey and Jessica Hecht.
A summer legit fest that attracts a hefty share of Gotham stage talent, WTF — comprising seven separate productions — runs July 1-Aug. 16.
