Bruce A. Evans dives into thriller

Intrepid Pictures taps director for 'Diver'

Intrepid Pictures has set Bruce A. Evans to direct "Diver," a thriller that was penned by Diane Ademu-John.

Intrepid principals Marc Evans and Trevor Macy will produce.

Script concerns a disturbed ex-cop who's recruited into the Diver program, a secret project based in New Orleans where the cop and others enter the minds of the recently dead to experience their final thoughts and perceptions in order to solve the most heinous crimes.

Asha Kurian, Julie Wilke and Ray Gideon will be executive producers.

Evans co-wrote and directed the Kevin Costner starrer "Mr. Brooks" for MGM.

Intrepid most recently co-produced "The Strangers," and Evans and Macy are prepping for a late summer start on the sequel with Relativity Media. Intrepid is also producing action films "The Cold Light of Day," "The Couriers" and "The Highest Bid."
