Actor's had many helping hands along the way

BRAIN TRUST
  • After Ron Meyer served as his agent for more than 20 years, Douglas eventually signed with Endeavor, now WME Entertainment, in 2003.
  • Robert Mitas heads development at Furthur Films, Douglas' production shingle established in 1999 that is credited with such projects as "Don't Say a Word," "The In-Laws" and "The Sentinel."
  • Joe Horacek III of Manatt, Phelps & Phillips has been Douglas' attorney for close to 40 years.
  • Publicist Alan Burry has been with Douglas for 23 years.


FREQUENT COLLABORATORS
  • Douglas' most fruitful creative partnership has been with Sherry Lansing, who was a producer on "Fatal Attraction" and "Black Rain" and chaired Paramount's Motion Picture Group when the studio released a number of films either starring Douglas or produced by his shingle, including "The Ghost in the Darkness," "The Wonder Boys" and "The Rainmaker."
  • Costume designer Ellen Mirojnick and Douglas have worked together on more than a half dozen pics, including "Wall Street," "Fatal Attraction" and the upcoming "Solitary Man."


IN THE PIPELINE
  • In the can are "Beyond a Reasonable Doubt," which reunites him with director Peter Hyams ("The Star Chamber"), and "Solitary Man," written and co-directed by David Levine and Brian Koppelman, best known for his work with Steven Soderbergh.
  • In development are the sequel to "Wall Street," "Wall Street 2," again with Oliver Stone at the helm, due to roll Aug. 17, as well as a Liberace biopic with Sodebergh, who directed Douglas in "Traffic," at the reins.
