The studio has tapped the scribes to pen the script, a comedy that riffs on the reality TV genre, especially such shows as "Survivor."
Developed internally at DreamWorks, the laffer revolves around Cal Tanner, the fraudulent star of a cable TV survival show, who is forced to keep himself and his female assistant alive when they're put in an actual survival situation.
Goldstein, whose credits include writing for CBS sitcom "The New Adventures of Old Christine," and Fox's "Bones" and former "Freaks and Geeks" co-star Francis Daley have previously sold their comedy scripts "The $40,000 Man" and "Burt Wonderstone" to New Line. Jake Kasdan will helm "Wonderstone," with Benderspink producing.
They also rewrote the Scott Rudin-produced "Hours of Fun," set up at Disney.
