Alicia Keys will be the recipient of the Golden Note kudo during ASCAP's 22nd annual Rhythm & Soul Awards.

The event, which takes place June 26 at the Beverly Hilton, also recognizes ASCAP songwriters and publishers of the most-performed R&B, hip-hop and gospel songs from 2008.

According to the performing rights org, the Golden Note laurel "is presented to songwriters, composers and artists who have achieved extraordinary career milestones."

Keys sold 11 million copies of her debut LP, "Songs in A Minor," released by Clive Davis' J Records. In 2005 she became the first female R&B artist to have three No. 1 debuts on the Billboard Top 200 chart in as many releases. Her latest disc, her fourth, also bowed at No. 1 and earned her three Grammys.

Keys, along with Wyclef Jean, will also receive BET's 2009 Humanitarian Award at the Shrine Auditorium on June 28.
