BET picks up 'Wendy Williams'

Show will bow July 13 on the cable network

BET has picked up the yakker "The Wendy Williams Show," which will bow July 13 in syndication and on the cabler.

Skein, hosted by the Gotham-based disc jockey and former VH1 personality, will revolve around celebs, gossip and topical topics.

BET has yet to settle on a timeslot for the show, which will run day and date with the syndie telecasts. In syndication the hourlong strip has landed daytime and early afternoon slots.

"Wendy Williams," distribbed by Debmar-Mercury, is cleared on stations covering 95% of U.S. TV households. Show is making its national debut after a six-week test run last summer on Fox O&Os in New York, Los Angeles, Dallas and Detroit.
