Cap to install 80 digital projectors

French exhibitor signs deal with Ymagis

BRUSSELS -- French exhibitor Cap Cinema has signed a deal to install 80 digital projectors in theaters across the country. Hardware is being provided by Cinemeccanica and Barco, financing by Ymagis.

For 3-D projection, Cap has opted for the NuVision system, which uses active glasses and does not require a metallic screen. This is provided by Paris-based company Volfoni.

Deployment begins with theaters in Blois, Saint-Quentin, Perigeux, Agen, Carcassonne, Montauban, Beaune and Fribourg. Rollout for other complexes will start in October.
