HBO's 'Hung' sets launch date

Comedy to premiere June 28 after 'True Blood'

HBO has set June 28 as the launch date for its comedy series "Hung."

Skein will bow in the 10 p.m. slot behind vampire drama "True Blood," which returns for its second season on June 14.

Starring Thomas Jane ("61*," "The Punisher") as a well-endowed man who looks to cash in on his assets, "Hung" will see a 10-episode run. First episode will be 45 minutes long, the others, 30 minutes.

Jane Adams and Anne Heche co-star.

The pilot was directed by Alexander Payne, who won an Oscar for writing "Sideways" and was nominated for directing "Sideways" and penning "Election."

Payne, Dmitry Lipkin, Colette Burson, Michael Rosenberg, John Morayniss and Noreen Halpern are exec producers.
