The Seville European Film Festival has reupped its deal with the European Film Academy to host the nominations ceremony for the EFA Awards -- Europe's equivalent of the Oscars --through 2012.
In his second year as artistic director, Javier Martin Dominguez confirmed at Cannes that Seville will repeat Euro-centric sidebars including a Eurimages Euro co-prod section; Short Matters, showcasing the shorts up for EFA awards; a selection of docus and fiction films from Gallic-German broadcaster Arte; and a European Collection tapping features on the EFA awards nomination longlist.
Adding more industry heft, fest will host seminars on digital film, marketing and distribution.
With the U.K. the subject of a film focus, Brit producer Jeremy Thomas will receive a career achievement award.
