Melissa Peterman ("Reba") will take over hosting duties from Joey Fatone for "Bee," which will air 10 episodes on Saturdays at 10 p.m. ET/PT beginning June 20. The new version is set to have a mix of 60 percent country songs and 40 percent pop and other genres.
"Bee" aired on the Peacock in 2007.
"We've been fans of this show since it first premiered on NBC, and we were thrilled to be able to collaborate with the show's producers to create (the new) series," CMT head of development Bob Kusbit said.
CMT will air "Bee" after "Can You Duet," which has its second-season premiere June 20. "Bee" is executive produced by Phil Gurin and Bob Horowitz for the Gurin Company and JUMA Entertainment. Kusbit, Claire McCabe and John Hamlin are executive producers for CMT.
