Jon Gruden joins ESPN's 'Football'
Former coach will replace Tony Kornheiser

The recently fired Super Bowl-winning coach will replace Tony Kornheiser when ESPN's "Monday Night Football" begins its 40th season this fall. Gruden will join play-by-play man Mike Tirico and commentator Ron Jaworski.
Kornheiser added color to the "MNF" broadcasts for three seasons and will remain a co-host of the cabler's weekday staple "Pardon the Interruption" with Michael Wilbon.
Gruden was head coach of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers from 2002-08, and coach of the Oakland Raiders for three years before that. He won the Super Bowl in 2002 when his Buccaneers defeated the Raiders.
"Jon is one of the best football minds in the game, he has a natural ability to communicate that knowledge and he brings great enthusiasm -- everything you want in an analyst," said Norby Williamson, ESPN's exec VP of production.
