Soccer filme 'Ace' in hole for DV8

Darrell Roodt to write, direct film

DV8 Films has announced the start of principal photography on "Ace," a bio of South African soccer great Patrick (Ace) Ntsoelengoe.

Pic, produced by DV8 in collaboration with the South African Broadcasting Corp., will be written and directed by Darrell Roodt, who helmed "Sarafina!"

DV8 principals Jeremy Nathan and Michelle Wheatley are here with Mbongeni Ngema, exec producer of the film, repping rights to the pic.
