Myriad picks up 'Serious Moonlight'

Company acquires non-U.S. rights to comedy

Myriad Pictures has acquired all rights worldwide outside the U.S. for the Film Sales Co.'s "Serious Moonlight," a dark romantic comedy based on an original screenplay by the late Adrienne Shelly ("Waitress"). Pic stars Meg Ryan, Timothy Hutton, Kristen Bell and Justin Long and was produced by Michael Roiff and Andy Ostroy. Pic marks the directorial debut of Cheryl Hines.

Myriad will also co-finance "A Great Education," with Myriad president and CEO Kirk D'Amico producing along with Laurence Mark. Ben Kingsley and Hillary Duff are attached to star; scribe Chris Keyser will make his feature directing debut on the pic.
