In George S. Kaufman and Edna Ferber's 1927 comedy about a theatrical clan, Collins ("7th Heaven") plays Gilbert Marshall, a successfull businessman who woos the daughter of the family (to be played by Jan Maxwell). Roberts ("Xanadu," "The Tale of the Allergist's Wife") portrays legit manager and producer Oscar Wolfe.
Also in the cast are Rosemary Harris, John Glover and Reg Rogers. Doug Hughes ("Doubt") helms the production, which opens Oct. 8 at MTC's Samuel J. Friedman Theater.
