ITV Global picks up 'Chopin'

Multi-media project celebrates 200th birthday

Blighty’s ITV Global Entertainment has acquired worldwide TV and homevid distribution rights to “Project Chopin,” a multiplatform project that coincides with the 200th birthday of composer Frederic Chopin.

Produced by BreakThru, the project comprises a film, a TV docudrama and 24 two-minute animated shorts plus online content and applications for mobile.

The story concerns two children who discover a magic flying piano. Pic is set to the Polish-French composer’s music.

Founded by Hugh Welchman, BreakThru is a London- and Warsaw-based shingle. Its “Peter and the Wolf” won the 2007 animated short Oscar.
