Maya Entertainment has acquired distribution rights to the crime drama "La Linea (The Line)" starring Andy Garcia, Ray Liotta and Esai Morales.
The film is produced by R. Ellis Frazier ("Confessions of a Pit Fighter") and Geoffrey G. Ross.
James Cotton directs from Frazier's script, set in Tijuana amid the drug wars. Story follows a veteran assassin as he tracks down the elusive head of a crime cartel, who's attempting to become the most powerful narco trafficker in the hemisphere.
Cast: includes Armand Assante, Joe Morton, Bruce Davison, Jason Connery, Michael DeLorenzo, Valerie Cruz, Jordi Vilasuso, Danny Trejo, Kevin Gage and Gary Daniels.
Maya specializes in English-language, Latino-themed features and is the sister company of Maya Cinemas North America.
