MTV orders more 'Parental Control'

Network renews show for sixth season

MTV has ordered another 80 episodes of its dating skein "Parental Control" from Reveille.

The order takes the show through its sixth season, making it MTV's longest running dating show. MTV's rendition "Parental Control," in which parents compete to find new significant others for their children by setting them up on blind dates, is based on a format from U.K.-based Princess Prods., which is now under the same corporate roof as Reveille in the Shine Group fold.

The "Parental Control" format is well traveled, airing in more than 130 countries across Europe, Asia and Latin America as well as Australia.
