A new casting competition show hosted by German superstar Til Schweiger promises its winner a role in vampire tale "The Twilight Saga: New Moon."
In "Mission Hollywood," Schweiger serves as host, mentor and jury to 12 young actresses vying for a part in the franchise.
The eight-part series, which began shooting in Berlin and Hollywood in March, bows June 8.
Competing against each other in kissing scenes, action stunts and dance perfs from pics such as "Dirty Dancing," "Misery," "9½ Weeks" and the James Bond franchise, the thesps will work with pro coaches to convince Schweiger, the audience and guest jurors of their acting ability.
In addition to the top prize of appearing in Chris Weitz's sequel to "Twilight" -- which, at $21.4 million, is the most successful film at the German B.O. so far this year -- the candidates will also vie for roles in RTL medical skein "Doctor's Diary," the U.S. series "Bones" (also aired on RTL) and a new musicvid from pop star Lady Gaga.
Schweiger, who notes that he wanted to be a teacher before he embarked on a film career, says "Mission Hollywood" is a step toward fulfilling his goal of one day opening his own acting school.
