On Monday, its first day of release, it shifted 211,031 units.
E1 Entertainment, which owns DVD distribution rights in the U.K. and Ireland, said DVD and Blu-ray sales made the film the third biggest opener of the year so far, trailing "High School Musical 3" and "Quantum of Solace."
The release also drew the largest opening-day numbers for E1, according to the company.
"Twilight," based on Stephanie Meyer's bestseller, grossed £11.1 million ($16.4 million) during its U.K. theatrical run and has accumulated $376.7 million worldwide.
E1 will also distribute the next film in the franchise, "New Moon," which is currently lensing.
