Kline
The Weinstein Co.'s Laine Kline has been promoted to exec VP of business and legal affairs.
A three-year vet of TWC, Kline has negotiated deals on pics including "The Reader" and "The Great Debaters" plus the upcoming "Inglourious Basterds" and "Nine."
Prior to TWC, Kline worked for the now-defunct Yari Film Group, where he oversaw all legal matters pertaining to film and TV production and distribution. Earlier in his career, Kline worked at two separate divisions of the Anschutz Film Group and at entertainment law firm Kenoff & Machtinger.
