Joining the company -- the U.S. umbrella for Ricochet TV, Twenty Twenty, Wall to Wall, Shed Prods. and Outright Distribution -- is former Alchemy TV series development head Burrad Marsh, who will be VP of scripted.
Also new to Shed Media U.S. is Tom Huffman, who will serve as director of unscripted. He was previously at Mark Burnett Prods.
Deborah Ridpath has been added as development producer, handling new series and adapting existing formats. World of Wonder Prods. alum Ross Greenberg and ex-TLC exec Brian Robles will join as development associate producers.
Hires come as Shed Media announced results that revealed 30% of its profits now come from the U.S.
Shingle, which posted a 6% rise in pre-tax profit to $18 million for last year, said it plans to acquire more companies on both sides of the Atlantic.
"Any acquisitions have got to be significant, from £15 million ($22 million) to £30 million ($44 million)," said CEO Nick Southgate. "We have successfully integrated Wall to Wall and Twenty Twenty and have developed a reputation for fitting companies together and keeping creative talent onboard through the process."
Shed said it made 64 hours of TV for the U.S. in 2008, with 80 hours already commissioned this year.
ABC is planning an event around the 100th episode of "Supernanny," due to air this year.
