Diane Paulus dressed in a brightly patterned dress that matched the show's late-'60s setting, while Public Theater a.d.
Oskar Eustis, in keeping with the personal grooming aesthetics of the flower-power tuner, brandished his own trademark mane -- and got it tousled repeatedly by the actors who ran up and down the aisles throughout the show.
Jeffrey Richards, one of the commercial producers partnered with the Public to produce the Broadway transfer, wore an impressive kilt. Also in the crowd were a couple dressed in full Indian regalia and at least one tall, fierce drag queen.
