The Tribeca Film Institute has announced grants to be awarded during the 2009 Tribeca Film Fest. $170,000 will go to U.S. and international filmmakers under the TFI Sloan Film Program, a partnership between the org and the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation, which funds art that incorporates science and technology. $1,500 will go to each of four student filmmakers under the "Tribeca Teaches: Films in Motion" program. The Tribeca Film Festival runs April 22 - May 3.
