Off Broadway's Culture Project has enlisted legit vets including Whoopi Goldberg, Bill T. Jones, Danny Glover, Phylicia Rashad and Liev Schreiber for a one-night theatrical concert to be held at the United Nations.
Event, titled "Breaking the Silence, Beating the Drum," marks the 200th anniversary of the abolition of the transatlantic slave trade. Also on the bill are Stew, Sarah Jones, Carl Lewis, Gilberto Gil and Stacyann Chin, among others.
Skedded for March 25, the concert will take place on the floor of the General Assembly Hall.
