Pics receiving funds include Cristi Puiu's followup to "The Death of Mister Lazarescu," which took Un Certain Regard honors at Cannes in 2005. The Romanian helmer collects $343,000 for "Aurora," produced with French, German and Swiss partners.
Silvio Soldini ("Bread and Tulips") picks up the most coin, with $686,000 for Italo-Swiss pic "Cosa voglio di piu."
And Ulrich Seidl ("Dog Days") collects $467,000 for "Paradies," an Austro-Franco-German co-production.
Two animated features found favor, "Thor -- The Edda Chronicles" from Gunnar Karlsson and Toby Genkel, and "Alois Nebel" by Tomas Lunak.
Selection also helps launch several feature debutants, such as Brit short helmer Alicia Duffy.
