"The Colbert Report" will tape a week's worth of episodes on a USO tour in the Persian Gulf, becoming what Comedy Central claims is the first TV series to shoot more than one episode in a combat zone.
The cabler hasn't announced an airdate for these shows or the specific location in which they'll be shot.
"I can't tell you where I'm going, but the fact that I can't tell you where I'm going should tell you where I'm going," said Colbert in a statement.
