Ebert will be presented with the Career Achievement in Film Journalism Award during an indie and specialty film luncheon on April 2, the last day of the event. ShoWest kicks off on March 30.
"Roger Ebert has always had the foresight to champion the cause of relatively unknown and budding filmmakers and talent," said Mitch Neuhauser, co-managing director of ShoWest.
Ebert still writes for the Chicago Sun-Times and recently became an honorary lifetime member of the DGA.
