'Blacklight'

Zombie Studios’ 'Blacklight' vidgame is a military actioner set 25 years in the future.

Fox Atomic has inked a deal with indie vidgame developer Zombie Studios and production shingle Union Entertainment to develop Zombie's original action property "Blacklight" as a feature film, comicbook series and vidgame.

Property is described as a covert military action story set 25 years in the future.

Film and vidgame will be written by Jason Dean Hall, whose credits include the upcoming Ashton Kutcher starrer "Spread."

Atomic, the youth-targeted production division of Fox Filmed Entertainment, also houses a graphic novel division.

"We are excited by the huge potential 'Blacklight' has to succeed across multiple platforms," said Fox Atomic prexy Debbie Liebling. "It offers us a remarkable franchise opportunity for film."

Union prexy Richard Leibowitz, who is producing the vidgame-based "G-Force" for 20th Century Fox and the Gotham Group, is aboard to produce "Blacklight." The shingle's Dmitri Johnson and Dan Jevons are exec producing. Zombie CEO Mark Long will develop the vidgame and serve as an exec producer on the feature.

Seattle-based Zombie has worked on vidgames including "Saw," "America's Army" and "Shrapnel."
