HOLLYWOOD -- The Sci Fi Channel has promoted Craig Engler to senior VP and g.m. of digital, overseeing business and content development matters for broadband channels including
Scifi.com,
Dvice.com,
Scifiwire.com,
Fidgit.com and
Chillertv.com.
Among his broadened responsibilities, Engler will also spearhead Sci Fi's efforts to put TV series online and develop new digital biz opportunities.
He previously served as senior VP of Scifi.com and Sci Fi Magazine, the online enthusiast publication he founded. Engler joined Sci Fi in 1999, when the cabler purchased the mag.
