HOLLYWOOD -- Wild Bunch has acquired rights to 51 international markets to 3D Entertainment's "Oceans 3D -- Into the Deep."
3D hasn't yet sold domestic rights. Wild Bunch's Gallic distribution arm plans to launch the film this summer.
Distributors lined up in major territories include Gaga Communications in Japan; Eagle in Italy; New Vision in China; Wanda Distribucion Cinematografica in Spain; and Luxor Entertainment in Russia.
The film's been in production for six years and includes footage from Californian kelp forests, the Great Barrier Reef in Australia, and Roca Partida Island off the coast of Mexico.
"Oceans 3D" is presented by Jean-Michel Cousteau and endorsed by the United Nations Environment Program. It's produced by 3D Entertainment and McKinney Underwater Prods. and directed by Jean-Jacques Mantello.
